We had the best time here. Food was incredible and service was also top notch. We tired a large selection of dishes and I was blown away by how simple fares like butter and bread, Brussel sprouts and potato mash were elevated to this state. The mains we tried (dry aged beef and duck breast) were also amazing. As well as phenomenal food, the drinks menu comprises many intriguing cocktails and they were prepared all in good time. The Arsonist is definitely a venue that hits on many levels.
Best place on the bayside for a special evening out. They flavours are outstanding on all the dishes that we have tried. Great wine list and cocktails to top it off. Well worth checking out as a dining experience.
Certainly disagree with the hype in the other reviews
It was nice without being great - certainly not a 6 Head, Firedoor or Bistecca
The tomahawk was cooked well and value for money.
Unfortunately, the chicken wasn’t cooked evenly and a quarter was still very much undercooked
Clearly, understaffed, which impact upon service.
Very limited wine offering, but very reasonably priced
4 of us had dinner at The Arsonist last night. What an amazing experience.
We had the $99 set menu. What can I say other than it was outstanding food.
The layers of tastes in every dish was simply amazing. The choice of cocktails we had was of 1st class, as was the wine choices
The staff were so attentive, we had a extremely pleasant and friendly waitress.
I can not recommend The Arsonist more highly.
We will be back for our anniversary and can't wait.
Thank you to all of the team, your attention was excellent.
4.25 ⭐️ - Great ambiance, unique menu & attentive staff. We got the banquet and definitely worth the price! We also got the dry aged steak which was tasty too! Some dishes tasted as it looked. My highlights from the banquet:
♡ Woodfire figs - exceptional! Interesting combination of ingredients but it works well together
♡ Smoked brisket - was a tad dry but was seasoned well and the meat fell apart
♡ Chocolate pudding - too heavy and dense for me
It was a pleasure to dine at the The Arsonist in Manly on a lazy Sunday afternoon, after a bit of debating on the menu we were delighted by a selection of rich tasty morsels that were promptly served by outstanding service staff. We finished with coffee and deserts and would highly recommend trying the restaurant by the water in Manly. Back again for dinner the food, cocktails and service have been great 👍
I was here for dinner with a friend. The food is exceptional! It is a very unique menu that shows great cooking technique with high quality foods. The staff were very knowledgeable with their recommendations, and the service was amazing. There is also a very large whisky and bar selection available to accompany the meal. I would highly recommend a visit.
Worth the travel! While it's a little of a distance for us, we would definitely make the trip out for this gem of a restaurant again. Food was delicious, and the dry aged steak is a must order for any steak lover. They come in large sizes designed to share - we were told they're roughly 1kg upwards. Our waiter was very passionate and knowledgeable about the menu and we felt well looked after.
